Úna Tighe B.C.L., LL.M, A.I.T.I, Barrister-at-Law practises at the Irish Bar in the areas of civil, commercial and regulatory law. Úna’s practice areas include commercial and chancery (including banking, professional indemnity, insurance, insolvency and pensions law), taxation (acting for corporate and personal taxpayers, the Revenue Commissioners and the Criminal Assets Bureau) and regulatory law. Úna has acted in commercial judicial review proceedings on behalf of both applicants and respondents (such as, for example, public procurement and taxation matters). Prior to commencing practice at the Bar, Úna worked for some years in the financial services sector, both in private practice with one of the leading Irish law firms and as in-house counsel with a major Irish banking group. Úna has acted as a moderator for the Irish Taxation Institute and as an examiner for the Law Society of Ireland and the Honorable Society of the King’s Inns.
